CETMA's latest carbon fiber fin made specifically for optimal freediving and finswimming was expertly developed by engineers using aerospace-grade materials to bring you a revolutionary design that offers performance and speed like you’ve never seen before.
With perfectly balanced stiffness and high quality carbon fiber blades crafted for the perfect combination of thrust and efficiency, EDGE is designed to be one of the most efficient freediving fins on the market, while promising maximum speed with minimum effort.
The performance of CETMA’s EDGE has been proven time and time again after Michele Giurgola achieved 656ft / 200 meters in dynamic apnea and 82ft (25m) during the indoor Apnea Academic GIA. These unbeatable fins have also allowed for 623ft / 190 meter records in dynamic apnea in the 82ft / 25m short pool, during the Italian Indoor Championship, setting a whole new Italian freediving record.
- Ground-Breaking Engineering
For the first time ever, CETMA has produced a unique freediving fin expertly designed and manufactured with cutting-edge technology and engineering. Their latest carbon blade fin was developed by specialists and engineers who worked with top-grade materials also used in the automotive and aerospace industries. These materials and technologies have been incorporated into a brand-new design that offers unmatched performance and durability for the best freediving fin available.
Using ground-breaking technology and testing designs with the latest and most sophisticated equipment available, CETMA has produced a blend of carbon fiber and toughened epoxy resin that results in increased swimming efficiency and ease.
The revolutionary design has been thoroughly tested using Finite Element simulations (FEM), allowing engineers to create the blade’s optimal curvature and shape that perfectly slices through the water and offers narrow kicking for horizontal swimming, as well as more powerful, wider kicks for vertical swimming.
Furthermore, using numerical simulations of the fin’s mechanical behavior allowed engineers to perfect every last detail of the carbon fiber blade, ensuring the most efficient distribution of stiff material. The result is a blade with varying levels of stiffness – with the material becoming increasingly more flexible towards the tip to ultimately bring you the most perfectly balanced equipment for freediving and finswimming.
CETMA is so confident in the quality of its fins that it is offering you a manufacturer’s guarantee of quality. All CETMA high-tech fin products are manufactured and designed in CETMAS' own laboratory in Italy.
Current fins have a standard Mares foot pocket, for a standard list of options of foot fittings.
